The biggest race in 2010 for SUPERPRO Series will be held this Friday at Bear Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, Indiana with the running of the International Trucks Gold Cup 100 presented by Navistar and Wilwood Engineering.
Over 20 of the top late model drivers in the midwest are expected to participate in the 100 lap main event on the half mile paved oval. Current point leader and 2008 Gold Cup winner Tommy Cook, Jason Dietsch, Mike Kugler, Al Cook, Jr., Claude Plante, Rick Everidge, Paul Freelend, Hank Tews, Dave Gentile Jr., and Kevin Todd will battle the young guns Matt Hall, Derek Griffin, Reagan May, Derek Bischak, Justin Mattson, Colin Toland, Eric Barcus, Ryan Inman and Royce Mason II plus others.
Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Front Wheel Drives will be in action along with the International truck parade featuring "Hammerdown" and the biggest fireworks show in short track history. THE KANKAKEE SUPERPRO-ASA CHALLENGE DIRT RACE, SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 29 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF PRE ENTRIES. WE ARE WORKING ON MOVING THIS RACE WITH A SIMILAR FORMAT TO THE PAVEMENT AT PLYMOUTH SPEEDWAY FOR THE SAME DATE. DETAILS WILL BE FORTHCOMING. |

The SUPERPRO Series and Springport Motor Speedway will present "United Way Race Days" on the three-eighths mile paved oval this Sunday, July 18th.
The SUPERPRO Series for late model stock cars headlines the racing action with the running of the “Allstar Performance - Lane Automotive 100”. Tommy Cook, Jason Dietsch, Mike Kugler, Al Cook Jr., Kevin Todd, Claude Plante, Jr., Rick Everidge, Hank Tews and Paul Freeland will face off against “Young Guns” Matt Hall, Reagan May, Eric Barcus, Justin Matson, Kyle Hayden, and Derek Bischak. Modifieds, Sportsmen, Pure Stocks, Pony Stocks and the Vintage American Race Cars will also be in action. Pit gates open at noon with practice at 1 pm, qualifying at 3 pm and racing beginning at 5 pm. The main grandstand will open at 3 pm.
Adult general admission will be $15 with a portion of each ticket sold going to the Jackson Area United Way. Seniors (60 and up) will be $10, Kids 6 to 12 will be $5 and Kids 5 and under are free. Two for One General Admission Tickets are available at the Jackson Area United Way office on N. Jackson and at CP Federal Credit Union and Flagstar Bank locations.
