About SUPERPRO
The SUPERPRO Race Series was formed
in the fall of 2003 by Paul Zimmerman, Jim Leasure and Bill
Lackey to fill a void left in the budget conscious crate engine
series developed in 2001 by another promoter who expanded the
reach of his series to other States. Structured as a Michigan
Limited Liability Corporation the mission of this new series is
to provide ongoing support and future cost controls for the
Super Late Model drivers in the Michigan/Indiana/Ohio region
through the popular SUPERPRO car.
The SUPERPRO Race Series was also
developed to provide area racers and teams additional venues at
local tracks during their off weekends from other like series.
Identical rules were formulated to provide standardization
across the differing series thus providing racers greater
flexibility. In addition it is the goal of SUPERPRO to introduce
the SUPERPRO late model to local track promoters, drivers and
race fans and provide educational resources to promoters
interested in developing their own weekly SUPERPRO division. The
MISS goal is to expand the use of SUPERPRO cars in the future
and usher in cost controls to the racers themselves through
carefully structured and standardized rules and car component
design.
From the " two tire " rule to the
"Big 3 " manufactured crate engine program, SUPERPRO is all
about keeping racer costs down while providing them, safety,
stability and performance in a proven race car design.
